Our volunteers help make what we do possible

Get Involved as a Volunteer with Computer Mentors

There are many skills at several levels of commitment needed immediately. From a one-time, three-hour show up and help out at an event, to a six-month-long mentoring position that will change the life of a youth in our community.  If you do not find an area below that fits your skills and/or interest, fill out a volunteer form anyway, and let us know what you want to do to help.

We have many opportunities to gain the essential experience you need to add to your rèsumè and have the skills – and qualities – required to attract future employment opportunities. We need your help and experience to continue to change the lives of the youth in our community. These part-time, unpaid intern ships offer flexible hours, mentoring, and potential succession into paid positions.

Technology Mentor

A technology mentor has the opportunity to work closely with Computer Mentors administrators and participants to guide high school students through meaningful education experiences.  Do you have a tech skill to share with a teen? Do you know HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, or C#?

General Support

A general support volunteer is really the hands that get the programs off the ground. These people help support Computer Mentors with essential tasks like being a representative at an internal or external event, administration assistance, clean-up, errands, and phone calls.

Speakers bring the world to our students.  As a speaker, you tell your story.  Sometimes that is a story of achievement, and sometimes that achievement came through overcoming adversity.  This is a great opportunity to let our students know that there is hope, and that hard work pays off.
