Hello Mr. Smith:
I am a Court Counselor with Juvenile Diversion Programs and I recently referred a young man to your program in September. I wanted to let you know he has done such a great job in our program and he has expressed how much he enjoys Computer Mentors.
When he initially came to our office, he expressed no goals after high school and was just a marginal student. His grades and conduct has greatly improved in school through the weeks. The teachers have remarked how well he is doing in class and also recording “good student.”
One day during the program, Trenton called me personally to explain he received an in-school suspension due to an incident involving another boy and that he tried his best to avoid the other student’s confrontation. I praised him for stepping up and calling me personally (I told him there would be no consequences for owning his responsibility).
I can’t express enough how proud I am of him and how thankful I am for your organization. I successfully completed him from our program a couple weeks ago and I understand from his mother he continues to attend. I know in my heart, with the assistance of your program, he will continue to learn, advance and serve himself, his family and his community. I wanted to take this time to thank you again for all you do for the youth in our community.
Pamela L. Stokes, Court Counselor
