This is our newest at Computer Mentors and is funded by a grant from the U.S. Dept. of Labor. It is a program targeting former youth offenders between the ages of 18 and 21 that have been involved in the Juvenile Justice system within the past 12 months. Corps Members will have the opportunity to earn their GED while completing training and certification in IC3, Microsoft Office, and A+ Computer Hardware. Corps Members earn stipends which are tied to rigorous participation in the program. After completing a 32 hour a week, 8-month course, Corps Members will also receive an educational stipend to continue their education at a Post-Secondary institution; an Internship in Information Technology related work; and/or placement in a Technology Career Field.
