We are a movement to Make I.T. Happen.

It’s about making information technology not only an equally available possibility, but a staple in our community. Make I.T. Happen is more than just a campaign; for everyone at Computer Mentors – it’s a passion.

FILLING THE GAP

To Make I.T. Happen means to instill a sense of community and address the need for technology skills with the capable hands of our future generations. There is a projected 1.4 million unfilled technology jobs by 2020 in the United States. Coupled with a growing IT talent void in the Tampa Bay area, this makes for a serious gap. Make I.T. Happen aims to bridge that divide with help from the community, and local non-profit Computer Mentors is leading the charge.

CREATING OPPORTUNITIES

Computer Mentors is a local non-profit organization that gives students a chance to build their technology skill-set through a series of confidence creating courses. Our Mentors equip their students with specialized niche skills by offering programs that range from middle school to high school. The cutting-edge talents the students earn are put to good use helping build projects for other non-profits around the Tampa Bay community. Students who enter our programs come curious about technology and leave prepared for a successful I.T. career.

Skills that make i.t. happen

Our programs provide everything from programming foundations and robotics application and controls to app development and video production. This gives student a fair chance at succeeding both professionally and personally.
